DanceConnect fees: who pays what?

DanceConnect fees only apply to payments made online. On a class, a pass or a subscription: 2.5% + €0.25, paid by the studio. On an event ticket: 2.9% + €0.50 (€3 maximum), paid by the buyer.

Updated on September 30, 2026

Listing your studio, its page and its schedule are free, and ticketing is included in the Free plan, with no subscription. DanceConnect is paid only through fees on payments made online through the platform.

The fee amounts

  • Single classes, class passes, packages and subscriptions: 2.5% + €0.25 per transaction (payment processing fee).
  • Event, intensive and workshop tickets: 2.9% + €0.50 per transaction, €3 maximum (booking fee).

These amounts are also shown in your studio space when you enable ticketing, before you accept anything, then shown again when you put a class or an event on sale. They are the same for a new student and for a student who already comes to your studio: they are payment processing fees, not a commission on students brought in by DanceConnect.

The fees of Stripe, the payment provider, are covered by DanceConnect out of its share: they are never added on top of these amounts.

No fee is charged on a free booking, or on a session booked with a pass, a subscription or a credit.

Examples

  • €20 class: the student pays €20, you receive €19.25 (€20 - €0.75 in fees).
  • €20 event ticket: the attendee pays €21.08 (€20 + a €1.08 booking fee), you receive €20.
  • €150 event ticket: the booking fee is capped at €3. The attendee pays €153, you receive €150.

For a class, a pass or a subscription

The payment processing fee is paid by the studio. The dancer pays exactly the price shown, and the fee is deducted from what you receive. It never exceeds the amount paid. The same rule applies to event passes.

Creating, managing and selling class passes, packages and subscriptions online are part of the Essentiel plan, along with tracking your members and their NFC access to the studio. Your first subscription starts with 30 free days (bank card required, one trial per business, SIRET number required): nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel before it ends. If you cancel or your subscription ends, your studio goes back to Free: your studio page, your visibility, the sale of your classes and event tickets and ticket check-in by QR code stay active. The passes and subscriptions your students have already bought can still be used to book until they expire, and a current class pass can still be topped up; however, you can no longer create, assign or sell new ones, and they no longer give NFC access to the studio. Your class passes, packages and subscriptions stay visible on your studio page, with no online purchase.

For an event, an intensive or a workshop

The booking fee is added to the price paid by the attendee, who sees it at checkout. You receive 100% of the ticket price you set.

Manual credits: no fees

If a student has already paid you outside DanceConnect (cheque, cash, bank transfer…), you can, with the Essentiel plan, assign them their pass or subscription without an online payment. There is then no payment, no Stripe and no DanceConnect fee: the operation appears as Crédit manuel (Manual credit) in the history. If your studio goes back to Free, you can no longer assign a new plan, but you can still revoke a current assignment made by mistake.

In case of a refund

  • Class: if you cancel a session, the paid spots are fully refunded to the students, and the payment processing fees are returned to you: you pay no fees on those spots. If a student cancels at least 24 hours in advance, the value of their spot is returned to them as credit with your studio (or as credit on their plan), without a refund to their card.
  • Event: an attendee can cancel up to 48 hours before the start, without a refund. When a ticket is refunded, only its price is returned: the booking fees, which the attendee knew were non-refundable before paying, are not given back.

What you receive

Payments are collected by Stripe and paid out to the bank account you entered when enabling ticketing, after the payment processing fee for classes, passes and subscriptions. On the Dashboard of your studio space, the Revenue this month tile shows your net revenue, after fees.
